NEW AGREEMENT EDiSU & FEDEGARI

In June 2021, Fedegari signed a new agreement with EDiSU (Study Institution of the University of Pavia). The project will help to identify the best talents among the young students from the colleges of the University of Pavia. Fedegari will help the students to join the working life through knowledge-sharing activities, training and coaching.

The training of the Fedegari founders and brothers at the Necchi school

Progress is based on people, on the most brilliant minds, on the skills of young people trained in solid professional institutes and good universities.” This is how Vittorio Necchi, the visionary and historical entrepreneur from Pavia, described his concept of progress.

The values on the basis of the agreement EDiSU-FEDEGARI have deep roots and start from the experience of the founders, Fortunato and Gianpiero Fedegari. When both were still very young, they attended the Necchi Professional School. In that period they acquired the technical knowledge that allowed them to become craftsmen and entrepreneurs. Some years later, they founded the company that is now considered the world leader in the field of pharmaceutical sterilization.

This experience has taught our father the importance of people for work development. Our employees are the real strength of the company and of our land,” comments Paolo Fedegari, who heads the Fedegari Group together with his brother Giuseppe.

The company is a system in continuous evolution that requires the constant introduction of new resources and young people who can bring new energy to the company’s progress. This is the reason why Fedegari collaborates with ITIS Cardano and Assolombarda organizing internships in the company.

“Thanks to the opportunity offered by Fedegari, I was able to considerably expand my cultural and personal background. As soon as I finished my studies, I immediately found in Fedegari a solid and internationally recognized reality. This has encouraged me not only to do my best in my job but also to challenge myself every day to make the company’s work always valuable” says Pietro.

The agreement will allow other college students like Pietro to better understand how they can help companies succeed in the global marketplace. In addition, the partnership will allow Fedegari to undertake new entrepreneurial challenges and the colleges to become even more attractive to other ambitious young people.

This project has been possible thanks to the relationship built with Paolo and Giuseppe Fedegari. People make the difference, the rest is of secondary importance” says Andrea Zatti.

The agreement

The new project gives continuity to Fedegari’s commitments and represents the first formal agreement between EDiSU colleges and a company.

“For several years we have been creating a direct link between our students and the work-life through the collaboration with companies and associations that create an internal and external network. This year, for the first time, an agreement between the system of public colleges (EDiSU) of the University of Pavia, headed by Prof. Francesco Rigano, and a local company has been signed. This is a fundamental initiative between our system and local stakeholders,” says Andrea Zatti, Dean of Cairoli College and responsible EDiSU for this special agreement.

“Today we are heavily investing to take the entire group beyond its existing limits. We need to engage young talents willing to face a challenging growth path in every business function. This will allow seizing the opportunities our market is offering us. The success of our company depends increasingly on the practical skills of our people who know how to achieve the trust of customers” explains Giuseppe Fedegari, CEO of the group.

An example of young talent is our colleague Pietro Infurna, who starting from Cairoli College, joined Fedegari for the first time as a trainee in 2017 and today is our Software Automation Engineer.

EDiSU

EDiSU Pavia has about 1,500 students hosted in its university colleges, representing a qualifying component of the Pavia territorial system in enhancing human capital.  The institution has a synergic and functional relationship with UNIPV and provides complementary and integrative learning activities with regard to the academic ones (language and computer courses, conferences, job orientation, etc.). These activities are designed to maximize the value of the skills developed in the various fields of knowledge.
